Hee - I always feel funny about adding my own fics too, it does feel rather like self-promotion, even though it's just including yourself in what applies to everyone else!

Maybe we should have an Author's Day, where authors are positively encouraged to add their own fics to any keywords in the index - maybe that would help make it feel more natural!

And actually, it will give some authors, who aren't always thought of when reccs and reviews are done, a chance to get their stories more widely known?

It would definitely remind people that fic by more current authors is still available! That was the beauty of the Circuit and Hatstand archives - they were updated with people's stories all the time, and you could go and see the lists of all Pros authors, so you could explore everyone's stories at your leisure. A03 is fine, but it doesn't work the same way, and stories flick through there just as fast as they flick through lj comms etc. - they're just not the same as single-fandom archives!

I shall talk to my fellow-mods, and see when's a good time to do it! *g*
